The Key of Life

One of the things responsible for Corporate Hell is our belief system we get indoctrinated in our schools. So what exactly is wrong with it?
We think John Lennon’s experience describes it best:

“When I was 5 years old, my mother always told me that happiness was the key to life. When I went to school, they asked me what I wanted to be when I grew up. I wrote down ‘happy’. They told me I didn’t understand the assignment, and I told them they didn’t understand life.”

The question though is, where happiness (or maybe we should call it fulfillment) comes from. My personal view is that we can only be happy and fulfilled if we consider all parts and needs of our life: the physical (body, economic well-being….just to name a few), social (love, relationships in general, community), metal (grow and learn) and the spiritual (purpose, contribution). However, loads of time the one or the other part – take your pick – is being ignored in corporates.

Belief systems by the way can be a great thing: if they are positive, they bring you everywhere you want to…if they are limiting, well, they can create a very narrow framework to work within.

The good news though: we can change our own beliefs and belief systems. Not an easy exercise, but possible. If you want to learn a bit more about the power of beliefs check this one out:
